Located just outside Baton Rouge, a progressive school district is searching for a qualified Special Education Teacher for a full-time, 35 hour/week contract starting in September and running through June.

Position Responsibilities

Drive academic and behavioral progress for elementary students (ages 6–10) on the Autism spectrum.

Utilize evidence-based classroom management strategies to support students with intensive behavior plans.

Direct in-classroom Paraprofessionals and collaborate with district BCBAs and RBTs to foster a safe learning space.

Maintain complete IEP documentation and conduct regular progress reporting.

Required Qualifications

Valid Louisiana State Certification in Special Education.

Prior experience in elementary behavior intervention or ASD specialized classrooms.

Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education.
