Role Description The Pastry Cook is a full-time, on-site position based at Bottega Angelina in Laguna Niguel, CA. This role is responsible for preparing a variety of high-quality pastries and baked goods that align with the restaurant’s Italian-inspired concept and presentation standards. Daily tasks include measuring and mixing ingredients, baking and finishing pastries, decorating desserts, and plating items for service. The Pastry Cook collaborates with the culinary team to develop seasonal offerings, maintain product consistency, and support overall kitchen operations. The role also includes maintaining cleanliness and organization in the pastry station, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, managing inventory of pastry ingredients, and assisting with special events or catering needs as required. Qualifications Proficiency in pastry production, including Bakery and Baking skills for a variety of desserts and baked goods. Strong Cooking abilities to support overall kitchen operations and integrate pastries into the broader menu. Demonstrated Creativity Skills in developing new pastry items, flavor combinations, and visually appealing presentations. Commitment to proper Hygiene practices, food safety standards, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Previous experience as a pastry cook, baker, or in a similar professional kitchen role, preferably in a high-volume or upscale restaurant. Ability to work standing for extended periods, handle fast-paced service, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude and respect for colleagues and guests. Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
