Accountant IIThis position is located in the Accounts Payable section of the Fiscal Division of the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism. The Accountant II reviews and approves payments associated with purchase orders as well as direct invoice payments, ensuring each disbursement is properly supported, coded, and authorized in accordance with departmental and state fiscal policy. Additional responsibilities include reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal program staff, reconciling agency credit card accounts against the accounting system, processing complex utility invoices through mass upload spreadsheets, and reviewing and preparing vendor 1099s for annual reporting.
