Full Stack Engineer

Salary: $117,000 - 157,000 per year Requirements:

• Build Agent One features end to end, spanning data systems, agent runtime, and user experience.
• Develop AI capabilities including tools, memory, evaluations, and the underlying consent layer.
• Design fast, private, and reliable data systems that support receipts, least privilege, and minimal disclosure.
• Monitor and improve latency, accuracy, and user control, instrumenting outcomes to assess performance.
• Write small, modular, clear code that others can reuse.
• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end software for the AI agent experience and the Puppy home device.
• Build and integrate front-end interfaces with back-end services, implement secure APIs, optimize performance, and deliver a seamless experience across web and device environments.
• Work with product, design, and AI engineering teams to turn privacy-first requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of the system architecture.

We build private AI that individuals own and control, rather than companies or advertisers. Our product brings together One Agent, a collection of AI helpers for securely managing personal documents, communications, and everyday tasks, and One Puppy, a home device that runs agents locally so data stays with the user. Our mission grew from an experience with identity theft, and we aim to make AI useful while preserving personal control, privacy, and transparency. This is a full-time, on-site Full Stack Engineer role based in Kirkland, Washington, working across the agent experience and home device. We work together in the office five days a week, in one of our garages; remote work is considered only by exception and arranged individually. We measure success through features that improve activation and weekly retention, meeting latency, accuracy, and quality targets, and producing reusable code with low defect and regression rates.
