About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations to oversee a senior-level leadership role with a focus on inbound and outbound warehouse, fleet services, facilities management, and transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving key performance metrics, expense management, and the strategic execution of initiatives. This role also involves ensuring compliance with government regulations, and safety and security standards, and fostering a culture of care, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The VP of Operations will be tasked with building and developing the operations management team, driving exceptional customer service, and leading efforts in efficiency and cost reduction. Candidates for the Vice President of Operations position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of professional experience, with a significant portion in operational management. The role requires a strong background in warehouse and transportation operations, as well as a proven track record in managing and leading teams. Professional skills necessary for this position include the ability to effectively communicate, present information, and solve problems. The VP of Operations will also be expected to have a working knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, and the ability to engage in and lead discussions with various stakeholders. The role demands a disciplined, proactive individual capable of making independent decisions and managing the pressures of a deadline-oriented, customer service-focused environment.
