Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the care of ICU and Step-Down ICU patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and applicable state laws
• Document patient care according to established standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family instruction, as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• Strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center; must be willing to float to Step-Down ICU

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in both ICU and Step-Down ICU environments
• Demonstrated ability to provide clinical expertise and guidance across units in support of longitudinal patient care plans
