Fleet & Equipment Mechanic

American Pride Lawn & Landscaping is looking for a dependable, skilled Fleet & Auto Mechainc to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for keeping our company vehicles, trucks, landscaping equipment, and small engines safe, reliable, and ready to perform.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot mechanical issues, and is comfortable working independently. This is a hands-on position with a variety of equipment and vehicles, including medium-duty trucks, trailers, landscaping equipment, and small engines. Company tools are provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete necessary repairs
• Perform brake inspections, repairs, and maintenance
• Complete oil changes and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
• Repair and maintain small engines and landscaping equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify potential maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts, tools, and shop supplies
• Order and track parts and supplies as needed
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
• Assist with general shop and equipment maintenance
• Help ensure all vehicles and equipment are ready for daily operations
• Participate in 24-hour snow removal operations during the winter months

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic, fleet mechanic, or service technician
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic/troubleshooting skills
• Experience working on medium-duty trucks
• Experience with hydraulic systems
• Small engine repair experience
• Ability to diagnose problems and determine appropriate repairs
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to quality
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours during winter snow removal operations

Schedule & Compensation
Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

Additional hours and/or after-hours availability may be required during winter snow removal operations.
