Registered Nurse - PACU

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse

Provide specialized postoperative care as a registered nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Deliver prompt, safe, and compassionate recovery services to surgical patients during their immediate post-anesthesia period.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients vital signs and neurological status continuously.
• Administer prescribed medications and interventions to manage pain and prevent complications.
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and patients' families about patient progress.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Respond quickly and effectively to postoperative emergencies or adverse reactions.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policy, safety standards, and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess a minimum of two years of recent PACU or perioperative nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment, vital signs interpretation, and post-op care.
• Provide current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Exhibit excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
