Senior Counsel

Seven Seas Water Group is looking for a Corporate Counsel to support the legal needs of our AUC Group business, reporting to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and working closely with the Deputy General Counsel. You'll get hands-on ownership of commercial and construction contracting for a fast-growing infrastructure platform, substantive interactions with company leadership in all functional areas and real mentorship from senior legal leadership as you grow. Who we are Seven Seas Water Group (SSWG) operates two businesses within the water infrastructure space, delivering more than 20 billion gallons of water a year to customers. SSWG provides water treatment and desalination for governmental, hospitality and industrial customers in United States, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the AUC Group provides decentralized water and wastewater treatment plants for industrial and municipal customers in the United States. Through our Water-as-a-Service® (WaaS®) model, we design, build, own, and operate more than 200 water and wastewater treatment plants, taking on the capital and operational risk so our customers don't have to. More info: Follow EQT on LinkedIn, X, YouTube and Instagram Requirements What you'll own You'll draft, review, and negotiate AUC Group's commercial agreements, including build-own-operate, lease, Water-as-a-Service® supply, design-build, and O&M contracts, and help keep our contract templates and playbooks current. You'll support our procurement and business development teams on municipal, wholesale, and industrial RFPs and bids, and provide day-to-day guidance on drinking-water and wastewater compliance as well as legal matters generally. When disputes come up, you'll help draft notice letters and support outside counsel through the claim process, working alongside the CLCO and DGC on department strategy. You'll also lend a hand on corporate governance, NDAs, and company policy questions, and partner directly with our operations and project-development teams to flag risk early and find practical solutions. What you bring A JD from an accredited law school, licensed to practice in Texas or otherwise eligible under Texas in-house counsel registration rules Located in Houston, Texas 4 to 7 years of legal experience, in-house or at a firm, with a focus on commercial contracting, construction, procurement, project finance or infrastructure matters Experience drafting or negotiating commercial agreements such as EPC, design-build, O&M, or municipal and industrial supply contracts; water or wastewater sector experience is a plus, not a requirement Strong plain-English communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to translate legal analysis into practical business advice Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Must complete a conflict-of-interest clearance review before starting Why this role You'll work directly with our CLCO and DGC on real, high-stakes contracts for a growing infrastructure business, with the kind of exposure and ownership that's hard to get this early in-house. It's a chance to build deep legal expertise in a specialized, high-growth corner of the infrastructure industry. Education/Experience: Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
