ABOUT THE ROLE

The BD and Communication Lead will be responsible for designing and implementing the BD, media, and marketing communications program to support the firm’s business priorities in Italy. The role will work closely with the firm’s market-leading practices, collaborating with European PR, social media, and BD teams. 

Other key responsibilities include:

• Implementing the public relations program in the market, collaborating with PR colleagues across Europe on matters such as media briefings, firm announcements, awards submissions and more
• Working closely with the Milan partners to identify opportunities to take the firm to market through a variety of channels, including traditional media and social media
• Staying abreast of developments and trends in the market and remaining informed of all major clients and significant matters
• Serving as the on-the-ground liaison for BD colleagues in Europe and globally working on Italy-related new business and client projects, primarily Italian language pitches, proposals, and attorney biographies
• Collaborating with BD colleagues to research, draft and coordinate submissions for the main legal directories
• Completing and coordinating special projects as needed

ABOUT YOU

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to write professionally and with attention to detail, and to utilize communication skills to enhance the firm’s outstanding reputation
• Thrive working in a team environment with a best in class client service focus
• Have strong project management skills, inclusive of developing plan, aligning constituents to the plan, executing on plan within the BD Department and communication of results

And have:

• A minimum of eight years’ marketing and communications experience (either in generalist or specialist BD or communications role(s))
• Outstanding communication skills in Italian and English, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
• Substantive Industry knowledge
