Your role at BaxterAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of electrical and electronic systems used in medical devices. Working under the guidance of technical leaders and engineering management, you will contribute to new product development and sustaining engineering projects while ensuring compliance with applicable quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will independently execute engineering assignments of moderate complexity, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and support verification, validation, risk management, and product lifecycle activities. This position provides an opportunity to develop technical depth and project leadership skills while contributing to the delivery of safe, effective, and innovative medical technologies.What you'll be doing:Product DevelopmentDesign and develop analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits for medical devices.Create and/or update electrical schematics, component specifications, and design documentation.Conduct circuit analysis, simulation, prototyping, and design optimization activities.Evaluate and select electronic components based on performance, reliability, cost, and regulatory requirements.Verification & ValidationDevelop and execute engineering test plans and protocols.Perform electrical design verification testing and support system verification activities.Medical Device ComplianceSupport risk management activities including design FMEA and hazard analysis.Continuous ImprovementParticipate in process improvement initiatives.What you'll bring:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline, with 3+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably within a regulated industry.Experience designing and testing electronic circuits and systems.Proficiency with electrical design tools and schematic capture software.Hands-on experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, digital multimeters, and logic analyzers.Preferred:Experience developing medical devices or other regulated products.Familiarity with IEC 60601 electrical safety requirements and EMC/EMI testingExperience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs.Familiarity with design controls and product development processes under FDA and international regulatory frameworks.Baxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000 to $132,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
