Job Title: Marine Technician Job Description

The Marine Technician will work on boats and ships in the Ventura Harbor to perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations, as well as specialized work.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on marine vessels.

• Troubleshoot and repair boat and ship systems.

• Install new equipment and systems on marine vessels.

• Conduct specialized work as required.

• Marine experience

• Construction experience

• Mechanic experience

• Mechanical aptitude

• Repair skills

• Ability to use hand and power tools

• General labor skills

• Understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints

• Experience with diesel engines

• Troubleshooting skills

• Ship repair knowledge

• Preventive maintenance expertise

• Marine engines experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Boat Technician/Mechanic experience

• Heavy Industrial Mechanic experience

• High level of mechanical aptitude

Work Environment

The position is primarily outdoors at the Ventura Harbor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ventura, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
