Operador de Pintura
RESUMEN DEL PUESTO
Atención: Gana tu bono de retención de $300 después de 90 días en el trabajo.
Carga y descarga ruedas de los transportadores. Inspecciona las ruedas para detectar defectos. Escanea y coloca las ruedas en tarimas (pallets). Procesa aproximadamente 3,000 a 4,000 ruedas por turno .
RESPONSABILIDADES ESENCIALES
Las siguientes son las funciones principales del puesto. Se podrán asignar otras tareas según sea necesario.
- Tener disponibilidad para trabajar un horario rotativo de 12 horas , incluyendo fines de semana alternos.
- Capacidad para trabajar en un ambiente de ritmo rápido y orientado al trabajo en equipo.
- Cargar e instalar tapones de válvula en las ruedas y colocarlas en los transportadores.
- Escanear e inspeccionar las ruedas para detectar defectos.
- Descargar las ruedas de los transportadores y colocarlas en tarimas (pallets).
- Instalar el material de enmascarado en las ruedas antes de la aplicación de pintura en polvo (powder coating).
- Mantener limpia el área de trabajo según las instrucciones del Supervisor o del Asistente de Turno.
CALIFICACIONES
Para desempeñar este puesto con éxito, la persona debe ser capaz de realizar satisfactoriamente cada una de las funciones esenciales. Los requisitos que se describen a continuación representan los conocimientos, habilidades y capacidades necesarias. Se podrán realizar adaptaciones razonables para que las personas con discapacidades puedan desempeñar las funciones esenciales del puesto.
EDUCACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA
- Diploma de preparatoria (High School), certificado GED o certificado de finalización de estudios de preparatoria.
- Se prefieren de tres a seis meses de experiencia y capacitación en manufactura.
- Generalmente toma aproximadamente un mes para que el operador domine completamente las funciones del puesto.
- Se prefiere experiencia previa en procesos relacionados con pintura industrial.
- También se aceptará una combinación equivalente de educación y experiencia.
HABILIDADES DE IDIOMA
- Capacidad para leer hojas de instrucciones para operadores.
- Capacidad para comunicar y discutir problemas con supervisores.
HABILIDADES MATEMÁTICAS
- Capacidad para trabajar con números enteros.
- Sumar, restar, multiplicar y dividir.
- Calcular porcentajes y proporciones.
CAPACIDAD DE RAZONAMIENTO
- Capacidad para aplicar el sentido común al seguir instrucciones escritas o verbales que sean detalladas, pero sencillas.
- Capacidad para resolver problemas que involucren un número limitado de variables dentro de procedimientos estandarizados.
- La operación sigue procesos estandarizados que requieren observar y responder adecuadamente a ciertas variables durante la producción.
DEMANDAS FÍSICAS
Las demandas físicas descritas son representativas de las necesarias para desempeñar exitosamente las funciones esenciales del puesto. Se podrán realizar adaptaciones razonables para personas con discapacidades.
Mientras realiza las funciones del puesto, el empleado deberá:
- Permanecer de pie durante largos periodos.
- Caminar con frecuencia.
- Utilizar las manos para manipular, sujetar y sentir objetos.
- Alcanzar objetos con las manos y los brazos.
- Subir o mantener el equilibrio cuando sea necesario.
- Agacharse, arrodillarse, ponerse en cuclillas o arrastrarse.
- Hablar y escuchar.
El empleado deberá levantar y/o mover ocasionalmente objetos de hasta 75 libras y manipular aproximadamente 3,000 a 4,000 ruedas por turno , con un peso de hasta 45 libras cada una .
La visión requerida incluye:
- Visión de cerca.
- Visión de lejos.
- Visión de colores.
- Visión periférica.
- Percepción de profundidad.
- Capacidad para ajustar el enfoque visual.
AMBIENTE DE TRABAJO
Las condiciones del ambiente de trabajo descritas representan las que normalmente encontrará el empleado al desempeñar las funciones esenciales del puesto. Se podrán realizar adaptaciones razonables para personas con discapacidades.
Mientras realiza este trabajo, el empleado estará:
- Expuesto regularmente a maquinaria y partes mecánicas en movimiento.
- Expuesto frecuentemente a condiciones húmedas o mojadas.
- Expuesto ocasionalmente a lugares elevados, humos o partículas en el aire, productos químicos tóxicos o corrosivos y altas temperaturas.
- El nivel de ruido en el área de trabajo es generalmente alto .
