Meat Cutter

Responsible for meat operation including but not limited to preparing, storing, cutting, cleaning, and serving meat.

Essential functions include monitoring food distribution, cleaning and sterilizing dishes and equipment, maintaining coolers and displays, observing shift hours, giving customers friendly service, maintaining good communication with the meat manager, sharing responsibility for controlling shrink, properly recording hours worked, monitoring food preparation and serving, assisting in maintaining accurate bookkeeping systems, assisting in inventorying products, ensuring product rotation and proper temperature, ensuring safety procedures are used, and cleaning and maintaining the meat department.

Position qualifications include accountability, adaptability, autonomy, communication, creativity, customer orientation, detail orientation, energy, enthusiasm, friendliness, motivation, organization, patience, presentation skills, reliability, self-motivation, and time management.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience: 1+ years cutting meat in a retail setting.

Skills and abilities include basic computer skills.

Physical demands include lifting/carrying, standing, walking, sitting, handling/fingering, reaching outward, reaching above shoulder, bending, pushing/pulling.
