About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required License: State RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - BiPAP/CPAP management - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care/management - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Isolation precautions/PPE - IV vasopressors - Management of dysrhythmias - Triage Description: This position requires the nurse to work every other weekend. There is no on-call requirement. Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice as needed. The nurse will work with a daily census that averages around 120 patients. The unit provides care across various age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Travelers may be expected to work one or more major holidays during their assignment. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve/Day. Full compliance is required to start on time. Failure to meet compliance deadline may result in pushback of assignment start date. Candidates are expected to have experience with patient ratios of 5:1 days and nights. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility operates with a staffing and scheduling model that is self-scheduled. Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. All candidates must demonstrate compliance with core items and labs before starting. Modules will be completed during orientation and will vary by specialty. Each sentence should be read carefully to ensure clarity and understanding.
