Wellness Department Manager

Schedule:  Full-time, 40 hours per week. 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week.

Availability:  Availability to work opening or closing shifts is required. One weekend shift is also required each week.

Age Requirement:  Must be 18 years or older.

The Wellness Department Head  provides a delightful customer experience while maintaining a welcoming, well merchandised department. This person supports the store operations and embodies the spirit of servant leadership. The Wellness Department Head interacts with customers, vendors, and Truck Patch Team Members in a positive and authentic manner.

Daily Operations

• Acts as a community resource - Honestly and respectfully assisting customers with wellness products in compliance with DSHEA law.
• Follows the current TP ordering SOP to maintain fully stocked shelves in all departments.
• Understands and performs TP inventory management functions.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department.
• Works in cooperation with Store Manager/Owners to closely maintain all elements of department sales performance.
• Keeps up to date on wellness and natural product trends.
• Searches to find innovative and QUALITY supplement and H&B lines.
• Supportive and engaged with customers
• Able to work with Physician’s recommendations for diet/supplement needs.
• Participates in Manager on Duty assignments as needed.
• Performs other duties assigned.

Team and Leadership

• Participates in the hiring, evaluation, training, coaching and development of Team Members in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Supports store experience by upholding TP Guidelines for staff appearance, energy, quality and cleanliness.
• Participates in scheduled management and departmental meetings to ensure core operational functions are followed.
• Servant Leader - Fosters team development and cohesion through service to each other.

Key Attributes

• Background in natural wellness is necessary, including strong knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and holistic body care.
• Knowledgeable of specialty diets (ie; Low Sugar, Gluten free, Paleo, etc.) and able to assist customers with reading labels.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
• Motivated to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Able to be on your feet for up to eight hours.
• Excellent time management skills.
