Mental Health Technician - Acute Psych Adult - 381210US:LA:Lake Charles | Behavioral Health and Dependency | Full TimeSummary:Facilitates the maintenance of the therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and assists patients with daily living activities. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. Takes vital signs, weighs patients, and collects routine specimens. Attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetingsResponsibilities:Under the direction of a licensed nurse, performs various service related activities in support of patient care and the patient care unitResponsible for direct and indirect care to assigned patients primarily focusing on hygiene activities of daily living, vital signs and recreational activitiesRequirements:High School DiplomaBLSWork Schedule:7AM - 7PMWork Type:Full Time
