Step into a rewarding and impactful role supporting students with visual impairments in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity (with potential consideration for part-time hours) calls for a dedicated educator passionate about delivering specialized instruction to students with a range of visual needs. Employment will extend through May 21st, 2027, with the possibility of additional planning days before or after the core school year.

You will be working directly onsite with students, supporting their learning and inclusion within the academic setting. Flexibility is possible, with caseloads assigned based on your experience, preference, and discussions during your interview. This allows the placement to be thoughtfully matched to your strengths and interests.

Qualifications:

• Active Georgia Educator Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Prior experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting preferred
• Willingness to complete required daily service documentation logs
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Comfortable adapting to varying age groups and caseload sizes as determined by district needs
• Commitment to onsite work (virtual/remote service providers are not considered for this assignment)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
• Create accessible classroom materials and adapted curriculum
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists for optimal student outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of services delivered
• Participate in IEP meetings, student planning, and professional development aligned with your placement
• Engage in pre- and post-year responsibilities as needed
