Tax Manager - High Net Worth - Nashville, TN Who: A CPA with at least five years of public accounting experience and specialized expertise in trust, estate, gift, and high-net-worth individual taxation. What: Performs final technical reviews, leads tax engagements, manages staff, and provides expert guidance on estate, trust, and gift tax matters. When: Full-time position available immediately. Position Overview The Tax Manager – Estates, Trusts & High-Net-Worth leads complex compliance and planning engagements, oversees technical reviews, mentors staff, and strengthens client relationships while ensuring exceptional quality and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Provide final technical review on tax returns and related documents across the client base. Research complex tax issues and recommend effective solutions. Stay current on changes in tax legislation and accounting procedures. Direct, schedule, and manage client engagements to ensure timely completion. Communicate with clients to support their best interests and deliver exceptional service. Lead and support staff and supervisors by providing resources, guidance, and a positive work environment. Monitor the quality of completed work and team performance. Assign, track, and manage tasks and projects completed by staff and supervisors. Take an active role in developing and mentoring team members. Build and nurture internal and external relationships to support business development opportunities. Oversee billing, collections, WIP monitoring, aging, and write-downs. Participate in internal CPE and training initiatives. Qualifications CPA certification required. Minimum of five years of public accounting experience. Experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1041, 706, and 709, as well as high-net-worth 1040 returns and related planning. Demonstrated leadership and staff development skills. Strong decision-making capabilities with initiative. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Excellent organization and ability to prioritize a heavy workload.
