Health Center Nurse

Rate: $20-30 Hour

Department: Health Center

Status: Hourly

Reports To: Health Center Supervisor/Camp Director

Essential Functions

1. Implementation of Thousand Pines Health Care Plan
2. Facilitate operations related to Thousand Pines Emergency Response
3. Provide support for Thousand Pines Programs in regard to the implementation of:
   • Camper Safety and Emergency Response
   • Health and cleanliness standards
   • Orderly collection and distribution of camper medications for applicable programs
   • Review and update of standing orders from the TP camp doctor and their correct use

Additional Functions

1. Originates, updates, and/or monitors health care plan and maintains appropriate records
2. Tracks TP healthcare inventory and maintains necessary supplies
3. Directs other TP staff involved in health care, (Health Care Assistant, EMT's, lifeguards etc)
4. Assists TP in any other areas as needed

Qualifications

1. Licensed in California as a Registered Nurse or Medical Doctor preferred
2. Experience reading prescriptions and deciphering doctors orders
3. Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certifications
4. Experience with children and young adults in a first aid emergency capacity
5. Full agreement with TP mission and values statements
6. Valid driver's license

Physical Demands

1. Abilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the job
2. Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs
