Inpatient Rehabilitation Registered Nurse

Location: Salem, Virginia

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM (12-hour shifts), every other weekend required

Job Description: The Inpatient Rehabilitation Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physiatrist, Physician Assistant, and Neuropsychologist to enhance patient functional improvements and support patient goals for functional independence.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, including IVs, PICC lines, and PEG tube feeds
• Perform bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter insertion, bladder irrigation, and blood administration
• Maintain patient care documentation using Meditech
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Med/Surg or PCU experience required
• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Rehabilitation experience preferred
