Job Summary

Greenheart Landscapes is seeking a reliable and physically fit Delivery Driver to join our landscaping team. In this role, you will be responsible for picking up materials from vendors and dropping them off at various job sites on time. You will manage a wide variety of inventory, including bulk soil, mulch, stone, pavers, heavy rental equipment, and live plant material. When you are not driving, you will help maintain our supply yard and assist the field crews with general site setup and labor.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Transport: Drive company vehicles—utility diesel trucks with 8 ton trailers—to deliver supplies to active job sites.
• Loading & Securing: Load and unload loose materials, pallets of sod, trees, and heavy machinery using proper tie-down procedures to ensure cargo remains safe during transport.
• Vehicle Inspection: Perform mandatory daily pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on trucks and trailers, reporting any mechanical issues immediately to management.
• Yard Management: Organize, clean, and manage inventory levels at the primary shop
• Crew Support: Assist field landscaping crews with basic labor tasks like digging trenches, site clean-up, or moving materials when required.
• Route Planning: Use navigation systems and coordinate directly with Foremen and the owner to plan routes that guarantee timely material placement.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Driver's License: A valid Class D state driver's license with a completely clean driving record is required. ( A commercial driver's license is preferred but not required)
• Physical Stamina: Ability to consistently lift, push, and pull up to 50–80 lbs in variable outdoor weather conditions.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills to execute multiple tight delivery timelines across different regional sites.
• Communication Skills: Professional attitude when interacting directly with Foremen & suppliers.
• Bilingual : Spanish

Experience

• Driver must have experience driving a diesel truck and an 8-ton trailer
• Experienced driver with loading and driving heavy loads of materials.
• Familiarity with landscaping materials
• Follow safety protocols, work outdoors in changing conditions, and handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading.
• A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required for driving duties.
