Reno - Full Time Temporary Warehouse Operator

Job Description Warehouse Team Members are responsible for picking, packaging, staging, and shipping parts from a General Motors LLC warehouse containing automotive parts. Team members also load, unload, stock, and maintain warehouse inventory. Each team member operates within a warehouse team environment where Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles are highly integrated. Candidates must be willing to work 2nd shift, the scheduled shift may change based on business conditions. Work Responsibilities Operate warehouse equipment such as order selector, sit‑down/stand‑up forklifts, and other vehicles (up to 35ft.) to receive, store, and ship parts. Package finished products for shipping (shrink‑wrapping, boxing, labeling). Stage parts for loading and load finished products onto truck or railcar. Move parts to warehouse for storage and sort/arrange materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to the predetermined sequence. Read, comprehend, and follow written standardized work instructions and trained procedures. Work cooperatively in a team environment and adapt to frequent job‑duty changes needed by business and manpower demands. Complete tasks within designated timeframes to meet operational expectations. Work Requirements Must be able to perform the following physical duties: Walk and stand for prolonged periods. Wear personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, appropriate shoes). Work in a loud warehouse environment. Frequently bend, twist, kneel, crouch, reach, lift or carry materials weighing up to 75pounds. Occasionally sit, climb stairs, and operate vehicles and equipment. Minimum Requirements At least 18 years of age. Full‑time permanent position; direct employee of General Motors LLC. Willing to work flexible shift hours including 2nd shift; overtime hours on those shifts are common. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required. Must satisfactorily complete GM hiring process requirements, including drug testing and a background check. Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship; GM does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role. Compensation & Benefits Pay rate: $21.00 per hour with a 5% shift premium for 2nd shift. Profit‑sharing opportunity and quality bonus potential.
