Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Associate’s Degree or Certificate

Unit/Facility Details: Patient Population: Cardiac (chest pain, stress test/Lexiscan, post cath without intervention), CVA/TIA, hypotensive, syncope/dizziness, SOB, post-surgical, GI/Urology pre/post procedure, AKI, cellulitis, detox/CIWA. Skillset: Cardiac cath recovery (femoral/TR bands), post-surgical care (appy, chole, stones), NIHSS/Neuro assessment/dysphagia screen, initiate/titrate drips (Heparin, Insulin), indwelling drain management, straight cath/foley care, NG tube insertion, blood administration/documentation. Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
