Location Harrisonburg, VA Work Shift Third (Nights) Job Summary Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Oncology unit. The unit is a 36‑bed medical‑surgical & telemetry unit with a subpopulation of oncology, chemotherapy, and end‑of‑life care. Responsibilities include the standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care – teaching and health promotion and evaluation) and professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, environmental health). Transition to Practice / Nurse Residency Program 10‑week TTP program focused on orientation and transition experience for practice in Medical‑Surgical areas. For new graduates, the TTP program is the start of a comprehensive 6‑month residency program to support the transition to practice.
