In the heart of a busy ER, this Emergency Room Registered Nurse will join an Emergency Department known locally as an emergency unit and trauma unit, where a 350-bed footprint, recognition as a “High Performing Hospital” by U.S. News & World Report for multiple years, a Level II trauma center designation, and a not-for-profit, community-based hospital mission create an ideal environment for an Emergency Room RN to thrive and grow.
Reporting to an Emergency Services Nurse Manager with support from charge nurses and clinical educators, the Registered Nurse – Emergency Room will collaborate closely with emergency physicians, APPs, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, lab, imaging, case management, and social work. Day-to-day responsibilities for the Emergency Room RN include rapid triage, stabilization, trauma and stroke alerts, chest-pain protocols, safe medication administration, evidence-based practice, patient and family education, throughput optimization, and contribution to a friendly, diverse, and inclusive nursing team that champions shared governance and continuous improvement.
