Swim Instructor / Teacher / Coach

At Aqua-Tots, our Part-Time Swim Instructors are true difference-makers in a child's life. What You'll Do:

As a Swim Instructor at Aqua-Tots, you'll teach and coach swim lessons in our indoor, 90-degree pool, working with up to 4 children per 30-minute class. You'll be part of a mission to help kids (ages 4 months to 12 years) build life-saving swim skills, confidence, and joy in the water. We provide all the training you need—including CPR and First Aid certification.

Schedule Requirements

• Minimum of 3 shifts per week:
• At least 2 weekday afternoon/evening shifts (3:30–8:30 PM) AND
• 1 weekend shift – Saturday OR Sunday (8:30 AM–1:30 PM).

Physical & Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be comfortable working in a 90-degree heated indoor pool for the duration of each shift
• Must be comfortable working hands-on with children ages 4 months to age 12.
• Must be able to learn a comprehensive curriculum
• Must be comfortable working in a warm, humid, temperature-controlled pool room environment
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints
• Must be comfortable being in the water for extended periods of time during each shift
• Must be able to safely enter and exit a 4-foot-deep pool repeatedly, sometimes without the use of a railing
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 30 pounds
• Must be able to lift, remove, and reposition lane lines
• Must be able to lift, remove, and replace pool covers
• Must be able to assist with light cleaning duties, including wiping down surfaces, organizing equipment, and maintaining cleanliness standards
• Must be able to assist with facility upkeep tasks, such as washing windows
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, reach, and move quickly when assisting children in the water
• Strong physical stamina and energy to teach multiple back-to-back classes
• Must be able to demonstrate swim skills and safely support children in the water
• Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certification (training provided) (Horsham location only)
• Must be able to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations
• Must have strong communication skills when speaking with parents about student progress
• Must be able to attend staff meetings and in-service trainings.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
