Anesthesia Technician

Position Responsibilities

Checks, maintains, and prepares all related anesthesia equipment according to policy and instructions for use including but not limited to anesthesia machines, EKG monitors, defibrillators, etc.

Cleans, checks and stocks all anesthesia carts daily.

Reports any deficiency or fault in operation immediately to Supervisor/Anesthesiologist.

Maintains a clean and orderly anesthesia supply room at all times.

Assists anesthesia personnel as delegated including but not limited to blocks, central lines, etc.

Functions as a preceptor to new employees.

Inspects all equipment and reports any deficiency to supervisor and Biomed.

Orders and maintains appropriate supply inventory.

Troubleshoots anesthesia machines when necessary.

Qualifications

License/Registration/Certification

CPR certification required.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

1 year anesthesia tech experience required. Completion of an ASATT approved accredited program preferred.
