AUDIO/VISUAL TECHNICIAN

Audio/Visual Technician We are seeking a strong Christian individual with experience and knowledge to operate audio, video, visual and lighting requirements for Mount Vernon Baptist Church. This position will support all Sunday, Wednesday evening, Thursday evening programming and special events as needed. Ideal Candidate The right candidate should have experience in some combination of the following: audio engineering, video production/editing, stage lighting, live-streaming. Hours Requirement: 20 hours/week. Salary: Competitive and commensurate with education and experience. Supervised by: Associate Pastor of Worship Arts. Skills Required Bachelor’s degree in field preferred 1-3 years of experience serving in a local church or Christian organization Detail oriented and highly organized Good people skills Punctual and reliable Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Effective troubleshooter General knowledge and expertise in Audio, Video, Visual, & Lighting (such as IMAG, Pro-presenter and mixing vocals) Willingness to work under the direction of other leaders. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Responsibilities and Duties Operate equipment as needed during worship services, rehearsals, and other programming Assist with tech support needs and stage setup for events in the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall and Student Worship Center Respond to AVL problems and other needs as they arise Assist other departments maintain the working condition of their AVL equipment Assist the Technical Director in maintaining all AVL equipment and address problems as needed. Assist in maintaining and organizing all AVL equipment closets Provide support and set-up for AVL needs for other ministries Other Duties as Assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr SBC Executive Committee
