About This Role

Our ideal candidate will develop and sustain high-quality development and learning environments with staffing and support models that provide frequent access to ECE lll’s for guidance. They will serve as an effective member of ECE teaching teams, guiding the practice of ECEl’s, and work closely with ECE ll’s to ensure a high level of quality in early childhood education.

What You'll Do

• Assist ECE lll with daily activities and lesson planning to meet the needs of children in our care.
• Work under the direction of ECE lll and EHS/HS Coordinator to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Apply your knowledge of early childhood education best practices, including the Professional Standards and Competencies, to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for young children.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with families and caregivers, ensuring a smooth transition between classrooms and other early learning settings.
• Support the assessment of children’s development and provide input for bi-annual evaluations.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all applicable licensing regulations and early childhood best practices.
• Supervise and evaluate childcare assistants and volunteers, and contribute to staff meetings and in-service training.
• Keep accurate records, including attendance and time sheets, and report any suspected abuse to the supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by ECE lll and EHS/HS Coordinator.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education required.
• Registry Level 12 or higher required. 
• Minimum of three (3) years of classroom experience.
• Experience with a diverse population is a must
