Databricks Developer

3B Staffing LLC

Duration: 6+ months contract

Remote - Highly prefer this resource to sit in Salem or Portland OR. Will review candidates on the West Coast as well (just prioritize local first).
Project Details: This person will be supporting the State of OR ODE project. Going into holiday season, expect a late Nov start date!

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain data processing and transformation solutions using Azure Databricks.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, scripts, and data transformation processes.
Support the modernization and rebuild of an existing enterprise data warehouse environment.
Build and maintain data pipelines to support data integration, processing, and reporting requirements.
Work with structured datasets from multiple source systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
Support reporting and analytics initiatives, including state and federal reporting requirements.
Collaborate with data architects, technical teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Troubleshoot data processing issues, optimize performance, and improve existing data workflows.
Participate in discussions around evolving data architecture, including potential Lakehouse modernization initiatives.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience developing data solutions using Azure Databricks.
Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, data transformations, and performance optimization.
Experience working with enterprise data warehouses, data integration, and ETL/ELT processes.
Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines within cloud-based data environments.
Understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data warehouse concepts.
Experience working with large, complex datasets and multiple data sources.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
