We have an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Financial Systems Analyst to be located at our Whippany, NJ headquarters.We are seeking a Sr. Financial Systems Analyst with a strong background in SAP and finance to support a growing portfolio of systems, integrations, and data-driven projects. This role bridges IT and Finance, requiring both technical systems acumen and hands-on accounting or financial operations experience. The role requires comfortability in a hybrid analyst/QA role, able to document requirements, test configurations, and support continuous improvement across financial processes.If you are a motivated self-starter with creative thinking and problem-solving skills, then we invite you to apply to join our growing team and be a part of our next 100 years.This is a hybrid position, reporting in to the office 4 days per week.ResponsibilitiesProvides functional support for SAP financial modules, particularly FICO, AP, inventory, fixed assets, and general ledgerConducts manual QA testing in SAP environments, documenting test cases and results using Excel or WordInvestigates and resolve production issues; ensure data integrity across financial transactions and reportsCollaborates closely with Finance, Procurement, and IT teams to gather requirements, test enhancements, and support deploymentsManages the creation and lifecycle of purchase orders, vendor contracts, goods receipts, invoice validations, and asset transactionsReconciles financial data and perform root cause analysis of discrepancies (e.g., payment reclassifications, pricing variances)Contributes to automation efforts and testing related to Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting, inventory transfer processes, and EDI vendor onboardingSupports integrations and data validation for new systems including Retail, Payroll, and B2B purchasing platformsWhy join the Suburban Propane team?
