Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

Required Credentials: Pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation on skills learned; all necessary resources are provided. Must receive a 90% to pass or contract will be terminated.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Block scheduling is generally not approved unless it is weekends only; weekends-only block scheduling can be requested. Travel pairs requesting the same schedule or sharing a car are not accepted. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Unit Details: 24/7 phlebotomy. Common diagnoses/types of patients: total knee replacements, total hip replacements, ankle replacements, total shoulders, spines- back and neck. No titratable drips; common drips include pain medications, antibiotics, and blood. Tele boxes; tele techs read and interpret strips.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling with cyclic rotation. Every other weekend. Holidays rotate in with permanent staff. If placed on call and then called back in, they have 30 minutes to arrive.

Floating Requirements: MedSurg, rehab, or PCU taking MedSurg acuity.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years
