Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the telemetry unit focused on general surgery. The RN will provide expert care for surgical and urological patients in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage 6-7 patients on telemetry, utilizing advanced clinical skills and judgment.
• Perform procedures such as wound vacs, PCA, TPN, tube feeds, and urinary catheterizations.
• Collaborate effectively with charge nurses, providers, CNA team, and unit secretary to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards.
• Monitor patient conditions, respond swiftly to changes, and administer medications by IV drips and other methods.
• Uphold infection control procedures and ensure patient safety during treatments and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold active BLS and telemetry certification.
• Proven experience managing 6-7 patients in a telemetry or surgical unit.
• Demonstrate proficiency in urology, bowel procedures, and pertinent surgical interventions.
• Possess excellent communication skills and positive, engaging demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating energy and adaptability.
• Two or more years of RN experience in a relevant clinical setting preferred.
