The opportunityWe are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a new team delivering Unity platform support for a key platform partner bringing games to TV and mobile form factors. To reach every screen, we will be leveraging a combination of platforms, including streaming from Linux in the cloud, Web builds to be instantly loadable, and native iOS and Android.The team’s goals include delivering stable platform support, realizing developer workflows for Unity users to unlock the unique features of this platform, and leading optimization initiatives to enable Unity to be efficient on the widest possible array of target devices.This role is a combination of technical leadership and people management. If you thrive on shaping software that is loved and used by millions, and leading the engineers who build and maintain it, then we’ve got a great job opportunity for you!What you’ll be doingOwn and drive the near-term execution and technical strategy for the teamCollaborate internally with other core Unity engineering and graphics teamsCommunicate your team’s vision and progress internally and externallyFoster a high-performance, supportive culture by mentoring and coaching your team, actively guiding their professional development and career growth.What we’re looking forExperience developing and managing a high-performance software engineering teamProven technical knowledge in desktop/mobile/web platform technology stacks using platform APIs to build native applicationsDemonstrated success in collaborating with internal Product owners and external partners to achieve alignment on technical specifications and interdependencies.Expertise as a software engineer, and a working familiarity with C++, C# and JavaScriptAbility to assimilate and understand a large and complex software productYou might also have (optional)Familiarity with real time 3D rendering techniques and graphics APIs including Vulkan and/or WebGPUA methodical approach to prioritizing and developing innovative optimization solutionsA passion for the future of computer games or real-time 3D experiences in a variety of settingsExpertise leading remote teams using Agile development methodologiesFamiliarity with when and how to best use AI in the software development process.Base Salary Range: We determine the base salary range for this role based on your primary work location:Zone A: $135,800 - $203,600 USD grossZone B: $153,400 - $230,200 USD grossZone C: $172,400 - $258,600 USD grossThis range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions).
