About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Model Product Management for its Extreme Events Solutions business. This client-facing role is pivotal in leading a team of Model PMs to redefine the approach to gathering market requirements, scoping global models, and communicating with various market entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and scaling the Model Product Management team, owning the model roadmap, and ensuring that the development of models aligns with client needs and the latest scientific advancements. Additionally, the role involves driving process efficiency, representing the company in client conversations, and providing thought leadership on extreme event risk. The VP will also be involved in defining the climate product strategy and will be expected to meet specific goals and success metrics for the product management function. Applicants for the Vice President of Model Product Management position should have a deep understanding of catastrophe modeling and its implications for the insurance industry, with at least 15 years' experience in key cat modeling roles or with modeling vendors. The role requires exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent leadership and coaching abilities. A proven track record in a senior leadership role, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders are essential. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration, and will be able to navigate complex organizational structures.
