Maintenance Worker

These are permanent Maintenance Worker positions intended to perform a variety of intermediate construction, rehabilitation and maintenance work at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service facilities for which the applicant is selected. Pay will vary based on the duty location for which you're selected. See details under Duties. Requirements Continued... You must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate government vehicles. You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 5 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. (Basking Ridge, NJ you may be expected to travel up to 10 nights per month.) Qualifications All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-10/06/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Use of Measuring Instruments Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Materials If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
