Registered Nurse - PICU

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Travel Nurse

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The RN will provide specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications and treatments to pediatric patients.
• Perform procedures such as IV starts, catheterizations, and central line dressing changes.
• Use hemodynamic monitoring to assess patient status and respond accordingly.
• Maintain ventilator management and ICP monitoring as required.
• Document patient care accurately in the Cerner system.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety standards, and dress code guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to perform advanced pediatric clinical procedures.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work 6:45 PM 7:15 AM shift, including 3 weekends over 6 weeks.
