Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Role: Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) in an entry-level position within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP), responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care for individuals with kidney disease. Key Responsibilities Perform assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate treatment outcomes for dialysis patients. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and adjust treatments as needed. Educate patients and families on treatment options and self-care. Collaborate with healthcare team members and delegate tasks appropriately. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Participate in quality improvement, staff training, and emergency response activities. Document patient data accurately and manage laboratory procedures. Support patient safety and participate in decision-making processes. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Nursing School with current state licensure. CPR/BLS certification required. Less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience; dialysis experience preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills. Physical ability for patient handling and working in a healthcare environment. Additional Details May supervise or oversee other care staff, complete required CAP training for advancement, and perform duties involving physical activity and exposure to healthcare risks.
