At Viranim, you will find opportunities for growth, career advancement, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on programs critical to national security.Position Overview:As a Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) supporting the F-16 program, you will provide technical expertise in Model Based Systems Engineering across F-16 subsystems, avionics, and system architectures. You will apply Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Systems of Systems (SoS) principles throughout the systems engineering process to support the development, integration, modernization, and life cycle management of F-16 capabilities.You will develop, update, and maintain system models, modeling practices, methodologies, and technical standards while supporting the development and implementation of an overarching MBSE strategy. You will work with engineering teams and program stakeholders to ensure system models accurately represent requirements, architectures, interfaces, dependencies, and future capabilities.You will validate modeling and analysis, communicate technical findings, and develop actionable solutions to support program decisions. You will also evaluate risks, dependencies, and technical needs affecting future Modeling & Simulation development and integration efforts while incorporating applicable industry standards and best practices.Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and execute MBSE development plansDevelop and maintain system architecture diagrams using SysML toolsDevelop system-level interface standards and specifications using SysMLDevelop and maintain system models supporting F-16 subsystems, avionics, software, and architecturesApply Systems of Systems (SoS) principles throughout the systems engineering processDevelop and maintain modeling practices, methodologies, processes, and technical standardsSupport development and implementation of the F-16 MBSE strategyPerform modeling, analysis, verification, and validation of system architectures and interfacesDevelop Master Resource Loading and trend analysis of hardware metrics, including CPU, interfaces, and memoryDevelop Systems, Avionics, and Software Roadmaps identifying avionics designs, prerequisite capabilities, pilot vehicle interfaces, and interconnect standardsSupport development of executable paths from current aircraft configurations to projected program requirementsPerform Group A installation sequencing and analyze potential conflicts, dependencies, and impactsEvaluate technical risks and requirements affecting future Modeling & Simulation development and integrationCommunicate modeling results, technical findings, risks, and recommended solutions to program stakeholdersDevelop and maintain F-16 SPO internal process documentationStay current with MBSE technologies, SysML practices, industry trends, and applicable engineering standardsIncorporate industry best practices into modeling methodologies and processes as appropriateSupport additional systems engineering and MBSE activities as assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent relevant experience)Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts, processes, and methodologiesExperience developing or working with system models using Systems Modeling Language (SysML)Understanding of systems engineering principles, system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and system life cycle managementAbility to analyze complex technical systems and communicate findings to engineering and program stakeholdersPossession of or ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the assigned programPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical disciplineExperience supporting F-16 or other military aircraft programsExperience with avionics, aircraft subsystems, software architectures, or Systems of Systems engineeringExperience developing system architecture and interface models using SysML-based modeling toolsExperience with Modeling & Simulation development and integrationFamiliarity with DoD systems engineering processes and acquisition environmentsExperience supporting aircraft modernization, integration, or modification programsPossession of or eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance or higher.
