Company Description Tahoe Tutoring is a learning center based in Incline Village, NV, serving students and families across the greater Tahoe/Reno area with in‑home, virtual and in‑office tutoring and college counseling services. The center focuses on individualized learning plans, assessing each learner’s needs and customizing programs that support specific subjects, test preparation, and overall academic success. Tutors work closely with students to clarify goals, address areas of concern, and develop practical strategies for homework, papers, and exams. Tahoe Tutoring offers support for homeschool programs, targeted tutoring, general homework help, and college planning, creating a flexible and responsive learning environment. The team is committed to helping learners at all levels gain confidence and achieve their academic objectives. Role Description The Center Director is a part‑time (or potentially full‑time), on‑site role based in Incline Village, NV, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Tahoe Tutoring. This position manages scheduling, coordinates tutoring sessions, and ensures that each student receives a customized learning plan aligned with their goals. The Center Director supervises tutors, provides guidance on instructional approaches, and maintains clear communication with families regarding student progress and center services. Day‑to‑day tasks include handling inquiries, supporting enrollment, maintaining a welcoming and organized learning environment, and monitoring program quality and effectiveness. The role also involves community outreach, basic administrative duties, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the center’s offerings. The role will be a full‑time position if the director can also serve as a tutor. Qualifications Experience in educational leadership, center management, or coordination of tutoring or academic programs is required. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, rapid learner, and an adaptable problem‑solver. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, families, tutors, and community partners. Organizational and time‑management abilities to oversee scheduling, administrative tasks, and multiple programs simultaneously. Background in education, counseling, or a related field; prior tutoring or teaching experience is highly beneficial. Comfort working with K–12 students, including familiarity with standardized test preparation. Proficiency with basic office software, scheduling tools, and record‑keeping systems. Ability to work on‑site in Incline Village, NV, maintain a professional learning environment, and support a diverse student population. Execute local marketing plans and contribute creative ideas to scale the center. Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, counseling, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered. Local Incline Village or North Lake Tahoe resident highly preferred. Pay Rate: Competitive salary or hourly rate, highly commensurate with experience and skill set. Medical Benefits: Full health insurance packages are available if filled as a full‑time position.
