Job Title: Travel RN - Cath Lab

Location: Bakersfield, California

Department/Unit: Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Salary Range: $50 to $65 per hour

Shift: Day Shift - Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts, staggered start times at 06:00 and 08:00)

Call Coverage: Weekdays 14:30 - 06:00; Weekends 06:00 - 06:00 (minimum requirement of one night per week and every fourth weekend)

Duration: 13 weeks (Contract)

Job Description

Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab in Bakersfield, California. This role requires expertise in cardiac care and the ability to provide high-quality nursing support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab.
• Monitor and evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and post-procedural care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in the Cath Lab.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab or similar cardiac nursing environment preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.

Additional Information

• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week with staggered day shifts.
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
