RN – Med-Surg Unit (3 North) – Day Shift – Relocation Candidates Welcome

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 14-bed Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) unit in Lawton, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in an inpatient setting while maintaining patient safety and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other Med-Surg units as needed and working scheduled weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med-Surg patients.
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in clinical status.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Allscripts EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Follow infection control procedures and maintain patient safety standards.
• Float to other Med-Surg units as required.
• Participate in weekend and holiday scheduling as assigned.

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications required.
• Current NIHSS certification required.
• Adult Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.
• Willingness to float to other Med-Surg units as needed.
• Availability to work 6 weekend shifts during each 6-week scheduling period.
• Must work a fair share of holidays.
