Purchasing Coordinator

Job Description To maintain all parts areas and inventory on a daily basis. To assist in the ordering of parts, supplies, and equipment. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Bar coding parts and putting on shelf and keeping an accurate inventory Ordering and receiving parts and equipment Keeping supply area's clean and orderly Complete all paperwork daily All parts areas are to be kept neat and clean. Bar code and label parts upon arrival. Arrange and store parts in appropriate bins. Order parts when needed and ensure stock is in appropriate and designated location. Keep accurate inventory records and assist in completing month-end reports, enter inventory count in automated system. Count and maintain boiler fuel inventory and other crucial items expected to be in stock and available for use by Production Dept when needed. Minimum Qualifications Ability to read and write. Excellent attendance Computer skills Knowledge of how to use parts catalogs. Ability to use a calculator to perform addition and subtraction functions. Must be able to climb 1 to 2 flights of stairs frequently. Ability to lift 75 lbs. Able to operate a "Bob Cat"/case loader and forklift and other rental machinery Maintain all working areas by keeping them clean and neat at all times Must be a self-starter and operate this department with a minimum of supervision Able to assess a situation and formulate a proper course of action Use equipment in a safe manner as instructed by management Work safely and observe all safety rules Hazards may and include, but are not limited to cuts, burns, slips and trips Preferred Qualifications Must be willing to work all shifts, over-time and weekends as needed. Expected to perform other duties as assigned.
