Step into an impactful role supporting students’ success as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school-based setting. Centered in a welcoming North Houston area community, this opportunity offers the chance to provide direct speech and language services where it matters most. Positions include openings primarily at one school site, with some itinerant roles available across the district’s North, Northeast, and South regions.

Key Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Eligibility for active state licensure; state licensure required by start date
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) welcome to apply
• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
• Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in a school environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload of students in elementary through high school (caseload details provided upon placement)
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education goals
• Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication needs using standardized assessment tools
• Consult with educators, families, and other related service personnel to maximize student outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes according to school policies and state guidelines

What to Expect:

• Full-time, on-site contract assignment (37.5 hours per week), beginning August 12, 2026, through May 28, 2027
