We’re Looking For A(n): Buyer/Planner Location: Richfield, WI What You’ll Be Doing: Responsible for purchasing raw food ingredients, packaging and other plant supplies to support the facility requirements Manage vendor relationships including researching potential new vendors, negotiations, verifying, identifying and resolving discrepancies with vendors, and evaluating vendors based on on-time deliveries, product quality, etc. Analyzes demand and proactively manages inventory levels to ensure a timely and cost effective delivery of goods Own the planning and day-to-day purchasing for a large pet food manufacturer, including raw materials, plant supplies, etc. Schedule pickups, place purchase orders, monitor deliveries, as well as maintain and update corresponding schedules as needed Work with corporate departments on planning based on short-term and long-term product demand Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required.
