Registered Dietitian, Eating Disorders (PHP/IOP)

Contract or Part-Time Employee, one set day a week
The Louisville Center for Eating Disorders (LCED) is looking for a part-time or contract Registered Dietitian to join our treatment team. LCED is the only eating disorder specialty partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) program in Kentucky, and patients are referred to us from across the state. Our dietitian is central to every patient's care and works closely with our therapists, psychiatric provider and program staff.
No eating disorder experience is needed. Very few RDs in our area have had the chance to work in the specialty, so we will train you. You will have in-depth training from experienced clinicians, weekly treatment team consultation, and a full library of treatment manuals, workbooks, handouts and research articles.
What you would do:
- Lead nutrition groups for PHP and IOP patients
- Complete nutrition assessments at admission and help shape each patient's treatment plan
- Provide individual nutrition therapy for PHP and IOP patients
- Some individual nutrition sessions can be done by telehealth
- Take part in weekly treatment team meetings
- Work with adolescents and adults, and with their families
- Keep accurate, timely documentation and protect patient privacy
Requirements:
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through CDR
- Kentucky Licensed Dietitian (LD), or eligible for licensure
- Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a program setting
- Contractors carry their own professional liability insurance
Contractors are paid $75 to $100/hr and part-time employees $40 to $50/hr, based on experience. This role is a good fit for RDs with their own private practice: you pick your day, it stays the same each week, and you add an eating disorder specialty that very few RDs in Kentucky have.
