Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule - Weekends: Every other weekend required

Assignment Details

• Patient Population: Adults / Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 48-bed unit
• Typical Patient Ratios: 1:4 (days, nights, weekends)

Requirements

• Valid Compact state license
• BLS certification
• 2 years clinical RN experience
• Travel experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with IV starts, peripheral line care, and central line management
• Experience with blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
• Experience managing cardiac/vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Knowledge of feeding tube care, tracheostomy care, and suctioning
• Proficiency in wound care, including Wound VAC and ostomy management
• Experience with phlebotomy and renal failure care
• Familiarity with charting systems, particularly Epic

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assessing and monitoring patients' health status
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to plan and implement patient care
• Educate patients and families on health management and care procedures
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records

Compliance / Notes

• Must request all time-off/scheduling requests upfront during submission
• Travelers must float between med-surg units and partner facilities as needed
• Scrub policy: Any color scrubs acceptable
• Parking: No fee
