IT Manager

Description Job Title: I.T. Manager Department: I.T. Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Exempt/Salary Supervise the work of others: Yes Position Summary This position is responsible for day-to-day management of the IT department and its staff, as well as coordinate and oversee projects relating to system development and/or equipment which fall under the responsibility of the IT department. Duties And Responsibilities Manage and direct staff in IT department, including ERP Developers and Business Analysts Ensure proper function and maintenance of current phone & IT systems, along with developing and researching/implementing new technology Recommend adjustments to systems and equipment to ensure cost efficient and effective systems/equipment infrastructure Manage ERP and CRM systems Project Management Strategic Planning Document systems and procedures Communicate within and between all departments of the organization Prepare annual budget Maintain working relationships with vendors and third party providers, ensuring contracts are kept up-to-date and cost maintenance strategies are assessed and analyzed on a periodic basis Supervisory Responsibilities Responsible for supervision of employees within the IT department. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree, perferably in CIS or IT related field 4 years of overall IT experience Experience with ERP systems Must be a self-starter Routinely thinks ahead Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret IT and general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, vendors and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be able to stand, walk, sit and type for long periods of time. Exposure to moderate noise level. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Knowledge of IT systems, software, phone systems, modern business communication, office procedures and methods. Skill to manage department employees and ERP system knowledge. Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork. Equipment Used telephones, computer, other office equipment as needed. Responsible for fax machines, copiers, printers, and security system.
