Key Elements of the Job
- Participates in the service, setup and removal of food and beverage during banquet functions
- Maintains knowledge of menu items to confidently describe food during meals and receptions
- Communicates guest orders including special needs, dietary restrictions or requests to the kitchen
- Delivers food and beverage to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure food quality
- Anticipates guests' needs and responds promptly with utmost care and attention
- Ascertains satisfaction and offers suggestions in enhancing the guest experience
- Breakdowns, cleans and sets up tables, food buffets and beverage stations
- Ensures Four Seasons service standards of excellence are achieved
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Strong food & beverage knowledge is required
- Food Handler Card and MAST Alcohol Permit is required at time of hire
- Maintain ownership of duties through hard work and discipline
- Flexible scheduling requiring availability of morning, afternoon, evening, weekends and holidays
- Banquet experience preferred
- Bartending skills is a plus
- Positive attitude with a generous and uplifting team approach
- Strong work ethic which includes a drive to grow, improve and learn everyday
- Energetic approach to his/her craft
- Calm composure under pressure
